We currently have a 5 user Netware 4.11 network. I am considering upgrading to Netware for Small Business 6.5. The accounting software we currently use uses the Microsoft Jet database engine which runs fine on my current version of Netware. There is talk that the software company may switch to SQL desktop (I am an accountant and not familar with database software). So far I haven't heard of any talk of a switch to SQL which runs on a server. What types or companies versions of SQL can NWSB 6.5 handle? Does it matter if SQL runs on the server or workstation?

Pervasive SQL is built into NetWare 6.5, but it's dumbed down. To use it for applications, you generally have to buy and install the full version of Pervasive.

Also, MYSQL is built into NW6.5.

Whether it is a server or workstation thing, that depends entirely on the appcication you are running. If your application only uses the server for a file store, and doesn't interact with a database engine on the server.. then it shouldn't matter.
