Upgrading from Crystal 8.5 to 9.0

Hi everyone,

I have written a few Access DB's for others, reporting with Crystal 8.5. I have purchased version 9 and want to install it. Are there any known problems when upgrading from 8.5 to 9.0?

You'll probably be OK. Obviously since you didn't post technical information about how Access invokes reports, it's difficult to know.

I assume that you used the RDC in the Access applications? If so, you'll probably be OK.

You might also post in an Access forum to get some developer insights there.

Any when you do, add technical information, at least the version of Access and how you're invoking Crystal.

You can't open a CR 9 report using CR 8.5, but the reverse is pretty solid.

There are some concerns with SQL changing, etc., but you should be OK.

I have written all of the DB's in Access 2000. As for invoking Crystal, I have not tried to integrate the two programs, but I am interested in the ideal of being able to open a certain report from an Access form. I don't have any formal training, I am learning as I go! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
