Hi

Our exchange server has reached the dreaded limit of 16gb!
Ive noticed from reading previous threads that exchange 5.5 enterpise edition will solve my problem.

Is there any known issues upgrading to 5.5 enterpise edition? is it as simple as putting in the cd and running the upgrade?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ben

I would not run an upgrade. I would remove the edition you use now and do a fresh install.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

I still would not do an upgrade. A fresh install is better. Would you agree zbnet?

I've done the enterprise in place on a live server. It took 10 minutes and worked perfectly.

I've never done the upgrade (every server I've ever worked on has started out as Enterprise), but I tend to trust Paul Robichaux, his O'Reilly book is one of the best ever written for 5.5.

Thanks for the help.

I upgraded from the cd but it was really quick. How can i tell if its installed correctly?

Stop and restart your IS service (out of hours, unless you want to annoy the users). The startup message will tell you if you have the new version.
