Upgrading Flash on a 3640

I need to upgrade the flash on a 3640 that has 8MB. The router is at another site and I need to know before I trek out there if I can add an additional 8MB or do I have to replace it with a 16MB.

If I have to replace it, what is the procedure for doing that i.e. the IOS?

The c3640 has 2 x Flash slots and 4 x DRAM slots. However your flash memory config could:
bank0=4MB + bank1=4MB =>8MB
or
bank0=8MB + bank1=free =>8MB

So depending on what the memory config is like at your remote router, you could end up with 12MB or 16MB.
