Upgrading a NT4 domain to Win 2003 AD

I have some questions concerning Sids when upgrading a NT4 domain to a Win 2003 AD domain. Currently we use Ghost to clone the windows machines but I do not think we have been using ghostwalk to change the machine sid. If 2 (or 4398793) machines have the same machine sid but different domain sids will this be a problem in the upgrade process? Everything I have found says no, the same machine sid is only a problem in the workgroup environment but it does not exist in a domain environment.
