upgrading 2420 from 3.0 to 4.0?

Following is a thread that I started over a year ago, that has since been archived. I am attempting to upgrade 3.0 phones with the *36, and the phone "goes away" for quite a while before coming back, and it doesn't upgrade the phone. Just needing someone to tell me that it is possible to go from 3.0 to 4.0.

I'm at FW 4.0... I upgraded it a couple months back without any problems.

Specifically, what vintage of firmware did you upgrade FROM?

It was a FW3.0 I still have 1 in the mix that hasn't been done.
