Our IT person just upgraded my PC to XP, Windows 2000. Now I am having trouble printing from Quark 4.1. Documents appear fine onscreen, but when printing to HP Laserjet 4050, the text prints like a courier font and is all squished together no matter what font is used. Our IT person is not in again until next Thursday and I need help before then. Thanks!

I have no experience of upgrading an o/s as you describe, but I would try looking in utilities>usage>fonts and checking the 'more information' box to see if your Quark document is linking to your system's fonts.

XP comes bundled with 'opentype' fonts which may have superseded other types of fonts you have used previously (ie, type 1 postscript or truetype) and your printer may not have the necessary drivers to deal with opentype fonts.

If you can, try printing to Acrobat distiller instead of your printer to see if this works.
