Upgraded from Windows 98Se to XP Pro,Reinstall 56k dail-up modem card and show that card is installed and working in Device Manager. Speaker volume is on and port speed is set for 115200. I Diagnostics it:

Installed ISP from CD,which worked for years.
but when I go to Internet Options, Connections in the dial-up and virtual Private Network settings there is nothing listed! So I setup\connection wizard\next\choose from list or ISP providers,but my provider isn't there so I chose set up connection manually. But doesn't allow connect using dial-up, just using Broadband that is always on.
I have used this modem so I no it works. In control panel when I click on Phone and modem I get: Phone and Modem control can not be opened. You may have a problem starting telephony service, Da. Can anyone help?
