Hi,

I have upgraded an older IP500v1 unit with Embedded Voicemail CF card to an IP500v2 unit with 8.1(43). All configuration and settings were imported and the system is working fine, except I am not able to get the embedded greatinss I had with the IP500v1 unit. I have copied the greetings folder and files to the new SD card, but I am not able to get the 8.1(43) setup to access the greetings files.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for transferring greetings from 5.x to 8.x.

Thank you in advance.

I forgot to add that I did get license for Essentials so I should have been able to use the Embedded from greetings from the 5.0 version.

Please advise if anyone has any comments.

Thanks.

You are supposed to be able to upload greetings in R9..... but it doesn't work anyway :)

!AM - What doesn't work. I've used the WAV convertor function to add greetings/names to a 9.0 embedded auto attendant. Yes finding a description for how was hard. But not sure how that helps moving from V1 to V2 embedded. Would somehow need to convert the V1 clps to wavs and then use the tool to convert back to clps. Too much faff.

ega - Expand on what you copy and to where. Basically puzzled by "copied the greetings folder" as for embedded voicemail its all flat - greetings and messages and names all in the same folder.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

User/Group mailbox greetings doesn't work (the new option in R9), yes Auto attendant greetings/menu options do work just fine :)

AM - I'll play again and if works send you my notes in a separate thread. Sorry to have partially hijacked this one.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
