Our IT department is getting ready to upgrade from VFP6 to VFP7 and I was wondering if there are any tips out there that will help us avoid any "gotchas' that may be lerking.

Also any real world user comments on performance would be appreciated.

Once again thank you all.............

There are very few "problems" introduced into the code by this upgrade. The one obvious one is new KEYWORDS that may cause some old code to be ambiguous or error out. The second one plugs a "hole" that was acceptable before - you can't leave out the comma separators in your declaration statements. e.g.

PRIVATE la, lb lc, ld

This was good before for declaring 4 variables. Now you'll get a syntax error.

Most of the recent DevCon non-MS speakers indicated they are already deploying VFP 7.0 applications, and some even reported a slight performance improvement in some areas.
