Is there any one out there who has upgraded the Definity to R10 and left the CC on a lower release?

THX

Thanks but i'm afraid I need more than that. Do you have more information, or a statement from Avaya?

What kind of info? You have never had to upgrade your CC software when upgrading the PBX release. We've gone from R6 to R7 to R8 to R10 and have left the CC software at R6. We just did not see the benefits for the 1 or 2 features that Avaya was offerring for the $25K upgrade. By leaving the CC release at R6 during the last 3 upgrades, we've saved $75K+ by not upgrading every time. I'm not positive, but I doubt Avaya will charge us 4 times as much to move from R6 to R11 CC as they would to go from R10 to R11 CC. I know it will be aq little more, but doubt it will be $100K+. -CL

If you're getting R10 quotes from an authorized Avaya source, they should provide you with the pros/cons/caveats of leaving the CC software at it's current release. -CL
