I just had a saleman in my office telling me that I can't upgrade to R10, that I would have to go to R11. Nknook is this true? Cost about 16k. Wisdom is Knowledge

Thanks All Phoneman2

Cannot speak for NKnook, but R10 is past and R11 or MultiVantage is the release for sale at this time.

You will be benefitting from R11 anyway as there are a lot of RTU features turned on in R11 that you would have had to pay for in R10.

Eg
Attendant vectoring
Holiday vectoring
QSIG basic
ISDN-PRI
Private Networking
and more....

O.K., O.K., there will be a 7 - 15% base software price increase for Definity R, SI and CSI to account for the inclusion of these applications. (depending on the platform ordered.)

Port sensitivity licences for TDM stations and trunks will be sold in 1 port increments (not 5 and 25) starting with the 101st port.

There will be an increase on application software licences from 1200 to 1800 ports beginning with MultiVantage. eg R9 and earlier system maximums were 800 ports, and R10 maximums were 1200 ports.

Other options included in the new bundle include enhanced conferencing (meet me conferencing, selective display/drop, and conference toggle/swap. (what ever that is...)

Not a salesman, but here you go....
