I recently upgraded my machine from 2000 to 2003.

I have a program that analyses my log files and outputs a report in Word, however since the upgrade it cannot output to word, I get the error message:

'Coundn't locate Microsoft Word 7.8 or 8.0 via the system registry'

I guess this means that the upgrade has moved the registry keys?!?! Does anyone know how to repair these and what/where keys to use?

Thanks folks

the problem is not the registry keys, it is the program.

If you have the program sources you have to change all references to the Office version you have on your computer, or alternatively change the program to use late binding and remove all explicit references to office objects.

If you don't have the sources ask your supplier to give you a version that works with all Office versions.

or reinstall office 97/2000 on your computer.

I was hoping I could just recreate the registry keys pointing to the location of the Word files
