i have just changed pc, to use access 2000. now i know there is an option upon opening a lower grade database to open it in its current state, or upgrade it to 2000. Now i chose to upgrade, with which there were no problems. But now, some buttons are not working. On one form i have, i have all my reports and queries, but none of them work now. I had a similar problem before, with another form, so i deleted it and made it again. But this form has many tabs and buttons, that it would take ages to re-create. Does anyone know what i can do to restore my buttons so that they work? Thank you for your help already.

Hi

Can u post one of the buttons On-click events please so we can see whats going on

Cheers

Private Sub BanksInCountry_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_BanksInCountry_Click

Dim stDocName As String

stDocName = "rptBanksInCountry"
DoCmd.OpenReport stDocName, acPreview

Exit_BanksInCountry_Click:
Exit Sub

Err_BanksInCountry_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_BanksInCountry_Click

End Sub

I simply used the follow through wizard to add the buttons for all my reports. So thats why i cannot understand why its stopped working. maybe the 2 versions have slightly different codings? Not sure.

Thanks for you help

Hi again

I have had a look, looks good to me.

Have you tried to repair your database?

Try that

Cheers

Done that, still no joy though, it comes up with an error that concerns the OLE Server or ActiveX Control, so i am not sure if its the installed version that is not working, and not the database? Thank you for your help already.
