Hi All. I am looking at upgrading our servers. They are currently running server 2003 standard to server 2003 enterprise. Can i perform the upgrade without loosing any of the data and configuration.

yup,

Stick in CD, upgrade next next next!

Usual rules apply:
* Ensure good backup (actually try a test restore)
* Be ready for issues ie RAID config's, custom app's etc.
* Ensure you have Pizza number

Simple as that...... alledgedly!

It is as easy as that Spirit. The only 'problem' I've ever had when doing this was during the upgrade the install couldn't find the RAID controller driver, all i had to do was point it to the drivers directory.

Re-install Service packs/updates.

All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure.

Kill the AV before doing it.

Update the ASR before and after.
Backup before and after.
