Since installing the 4 upgrade for Dreamweaver/Fireworks studio I have been getting a lot of error messages "illegal operation a fatal exception has occurred" and "An Internal Error has occurred The computer crashes and I have to reset it. I contacted
Macromedia who advised me to uninstall it and install it again in safe mode but this has not helped.
Has anyone else had the same problem, or has anyone any ideas of what I can try next ?
Thanks

I would advise to uninstall Dreamweaver/Fireworks Studio completely from your computer, and also to go to C:\Program Files\Macromedia and delete the folders there for the app to make sure as much as possible has been deleted.

Assuming you are using Windows 95/98/Me or something I would then reboot the machine to make sure system files are updated or whatever.

Put your original program back on and do another reboot so that system files are again updated, then put your upgrade pack on and reboot before using it.

See how that goes,

Stuart
