Upgrade of Software- 3.0XC to 4.1XC

Good Afternoon,

Could anyone let me know if they have performed an upgrade on an existing Norstar MICS at 3.0XC S/W level to a 4.1XC S/W level and maintained programming integrity without any type of upgrade tool?

Any assistance is appreciated in advance.
