Upgrade NT4 domain as child AD domain?

All,
During the NT4-to-Win2k upgrade process on the NT4 domain PDC, one can specify that it will be a child domain in some other AD tree. Do you have the opportunity to rename the former-NT4 domain name at that point, or are you stuck with the existing domain name pending the use of a software tool?
