upgrade from exch.5.5 to 2000

I am upgrading from NT 4 server to a new windows 2000 server machine.(2 seperate pc's) I am installing exchange 2000 on the new machine.
what are the obstacles that I will encounter? Is there anything I need to know before I go ahead?
I am quite new to exchange and unsure of the procedure.
Can anyone tell me?
