Hi All

I just need to clarify that what i am doing is correct.

Have an server that is a DC and has exchange 2000, dns, active directory. Basicly its doing all the work for the network.

I have a new server that I installed as 2003 server and made it a (DC) in the 2000 domain. which i want to install Exchange 2003 soon. Premote the domain controler and have 2003 active directory. again it will be doing all the work for the network.

These are the steps I going to take.

Move all fsmo roles to the new server.

Premote the new 2003 server dc within the 200 o domain

Run dcpromo on the old serve and demote the domain controler.

Enable other services like dhcp etc..

Install exchange enterprise 2003 on the new server

Move mailboxs from old server to new server.

Test new server.

Then decommission old server.

Is this Right? Considering I have a server 2003 DC in a 2000 active directory and domain.

Will have an end result of 2003 AD with Ecxchange 2003.

Any ideas would be aprecieated.
