Upgrade from 2000 to 2000 Advanced Server

Has anyone done this?

I have an exchange server which I would like to put 4GB of RAM in. Apparently, W2K doesn't handle it well, and handles it more poorly when Exchange 2K is involved.

All the MS docs I have found mention the /PAE but it is for use with 2K Advanced or better. Then they mention the /3G option when discussion Exchange on top of one of these better servers.

Any advice or direction would be apprecaited.
