Hi All, im new to this forum do please be nice!!

I am currently running Veritas version 7.6 on my server. The problem is that i have a number of problems with it. One problem is that occasionally my backup does not run, and it says "Loading Media". When i cancel or abort the backup, it re-schedules but gives me the same message when the backup runs? I have also tried running the backup manually with no joy. I have spoke to a number of people who have informed me that upgrading to a newer version might solve this. Does anyone know were i can get a upgrade, and does anyone have instructions on how you upgrade.

Yes your version is out of date. You can purchase an upgrade from Veritas or a reseller.

But first, right click on one of the failed jobs (still loading), select job history (I don't have ver 7.6 nor am I familiar with it, so my descriptions, etc may not be exactly right for you). Look through the history of the job and see if there are any errors. If you are not using an autoloader/tape library, it could be possible that the job needs a second tape and is waiting for you to supply that tape.
