I might migrate to an 8700/LX Intuity system. They'll use the G3 cabinets as the EPN, if I'm saying that correctly. The cost for install it about $9K with discount. What do they do to justify that much? I know there has gotta be some programming, but aren't the users just imported. I'm all ears.

That sounds a little low. With the S8700/S8710 you get a redundant system that will shadow itself so you will always have a working and current system with current translations. Depending on what version your G3 is, it will take more than just a simple import of your old tanslations.

You are one of the lucky ones, if you are able to use your old cabinets.

We weren't so lucky...we had to replace everything but the TN cards and phones.

I think he is referring to the install charges only, not the hardware plus blowback plus install.

9k is in line with a standard upgrade via blowback and hardware change out.

Sorry,

I stand corrected. Just depends how many hours your install people think it will take. Avaya is like $300 an hour or around there, and that is just remote help. depending on how many stations and all that but 30 hours sounds right maybe a little more time than you need but fair.

Sorry guys, that was just the install labor/programing. Thanks for the help!! Just sometimes the cost of this stuff is mind blowing. I thought it was expensive doing track days....haha!!

Have another 2 more BP quote the job. The pricing will be very different between BP's.
