upgrade 98 freezes on blue screen

Hi,
I upgraded my computer from 95 to 98. Everything seemed to go fine. But when it was booting up for the first time it stopped on the blue screen when all the icons should load. Any suggestions??? Thanks, Petersen

Hi,

Can you start your computer in Safe Mode???

Press F8 while starting up and choose safe mode. Does the computer let you do that?
