Hi,

I have about 40 6506 and 6513 to get updated from shipped ios to a specific version i have as a bin file.

I can connect to the tfpt server i setup fine, but I recieve an error that there is no flash (using command copy tftp flash).

There is no flash PCMCIA cards with these switches, I think I saw somewhere that the gbic card has some sort of flash memory?

Do these switches have some sort of internal flash? Can I copy the bin file to rom or dram somehow?

Many Thanks
Pody

Its not flash . It depends on what model you are trying to upgrade are these hybrid or native boxes . If hybrid then to upgrade the IOS side of the house with no pci flash card it must be in bootflash. Do a copy tftp bootflash: . Of course you have to check to see if you have enough room in their for the new image with or without deleteing the current image . For a native box , it will be "copy tftp sup-bootflash" . Of course put the appropriate boot statements after upgrading pointing to the location .
