Updating Clients

With nearly 500 workstations we have found the most productive and effecient means of deploying software etc is through imaging. However, due to the rate Microsoft produce updates we need another method of delivering these.

We run Windows 2000 Server with Windows XP Pro clients. How can we best deploy updates to Windows and Office?
