Hi all,
I have System manager 8.1.0 and i wanted to upgrade it to 8.1.3. I was reading the upgrade document but it has too many data in it with different scenario, Can somebody confirm that i can upgrade directly from SMGR 8.1.0 to 8.1.3?? Do i have to to carry out some more configuration before this upgrade?? Which is the suitable way to upgrade? i mean using CLI or using WEB/ESXI?

CLI

put the bin in /swlibrary
SMGRPatchDeploy /swlibrary/SM....813.....bin

It's only minor releases that need a new OVA and a config migration like 8.0 to 8.1

Hi Kyle, Thanks for the information, do i have to use data migration utility also??? What about licenses, i am using SMGR WEBLM for system licenses.

There is no such thing as a free LUNCH.

data migration is for moving the backup to a new OVA, so no. And WebLM host ID only changes on a new VM, so no, licenses are fine.
