Hi

I have been asked, for various reasnons, to update a server/domain so it has it's own MX record (currently we are using POP3 accounts to receive email from).

I am basically after as much information on making these changes to minimize any problems that may occur.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any good documentation, or has anyone come across any pitfalls, do's don'ts etc...?

Thanks in advance

Just have your ISP make the MX-record for your domain/IP, that is all. It takes them a minute to do and a few hours to be active in all DNS's. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
