Hello,

I am creating a database for some users who are off-site. I am planning to have the tables in one database and everything else in another. There will only be two users. If I want to make changes to the application datase (the front end) and send it to them what is the best way to send it so that the old file is deleted and the new one is saved to the same location and all links between the two databases are updated?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Julia

You can determine the location by either using dao currentdb().name or the path and file properites in ADO (I think they apply to currentproject(). You can also check the version by having a table in the front end that contains the version number of the frontend and comparing that to a version number stored in the backend.
