Update ID in master table

Hi everybody,

Right now I got a vendor master table with a 10 digit unique ID (ie 0001000442). How do I update the ID to get rid of the initial three zeros and leave only a 7 digit ID (ie 1000442)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

something like:

UPDATE VendorMasterFile SET ID = right(ID, 7)
