Hi

Basically I have 2 tables - 1 with employee data (name, position etc), and another 1 with staffing info (project name, date oif project).

What I would like is that when a person is selected in table 2 that info from the 1st table (i.e. position) is automatically filled in in table 2. Also, if posible, when info is updated in table 1 (for example if someone changes position), then this change is reflected in table 2.

Hope someone can help!

Thanks!!

You seem to be going about this the wrong way. Table2 should only have a relation to Table1, not duplicated data. It is against the principles of relational design to hold data in two places. See
