Microsoft update informed me that a Realtec wireless netword adapter update was available. I tried to install it and was told that the installation failed. By way of explanation if said, "The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name". I have tried installing the previously installed driver and drivers from the Realtec site with the same result. I've tried deleting any and all mentions of Realtek in the registry and still the driver will not install and the same reason stated above is displayed. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get the driver installed to be able to achieve a wireless connection?

KB925902 will not install on Vista but did install on my computers that use XP. I suppose that this is a problem with the patch and will eventually be rectified by Microsfot.

These are XP related threads about this update problem, they may give you a few clues or lead you to Realtek for better drivers?
