I'm doing a book with about 100 pages. The text is imported as PC .doc files. This has happened twice now, where as I scroll down, like 50 pages are inserted. If i simply delete the pages they reappear the next time I scroll down. Any suggestions as to what this is and how to fix the problem.

Try "Show invisibles" which will show up the paragraph markers. Deleting all surplus ones should knock out any extra space put in by the .doc format.
When importing from Word etc I've found lots of extra page breaks being imported, and knocking these out removes unwanted blank pages.

Click in the last box at the last page of your wanted text. Hold down SHIFT + ALT + COMMAND and press the down arrow key. Let go of the other keys and hit delete. This will delete everything below the cursor key. You can then remove the unwanted pages. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.
