I am having a problem with an access application. There is one part of one form, when the user clicks on a Select button, control goes to VBA in break mode. One line is Yellowed waiting for the programmer. The users find this most disconcerting.

Anyone have any ideas what causes this? This just started yesterday, it was fine before that.

Hi David,

Can you post the code where the program stops.
Is there a error message?

greetings,

That is the weird point. No error message. The code is just

me.txtPatientId = argPatientId

There is no reason for it to stop there. I have seen this before, but usually if I press F5 and let it finish it won't happen again. But this time, it keeps happening. Also, since I distribute this to 40 desktops, it also stops in the same place at all those copies, too.

can i assume that you compiled the VBA.
Did you use the "compact and repair" function. (hope you understand what i mean. I use a dutch version)
Helps most of the time for me if the program is acting wierd

It looks like the compile did it. At first it didn't let me compile it - the compile item was grayed out. I changed some code and then recompiled it, and the problem is gone.

Thanks!

David
