I have a FoxPro 2.6 Mult-User apliication running on Windows NT 4 with Windows 98 clients.

They are experiencing frequent crashes, none of which seem to be related. In some cases the foxpro error trapping reports missing memo or temporary files but on restart the error does not repeat. One error that has repeated but not when runing the same program is "Microsft FoxPro Internal Consistency Error" followed by the familiar "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown".

All terminals are affected.

Any ideas what may be causing this

Thanks in advance

TM

I have found that the "Internal Consistency Errror" is a dbf/cdx/fpt header problem. I got it a lot when is copied files between computers with different FAT tables. When I stoped using the OS Copy command and used the FPW COPY With CDX command, the problem when away. Also in the FAQ area of this forum, you will find information about it. faq182-203 David W.
