Unload a tape from - Ibm 7337

I am trying to unload a tape via command line from
an Ibm 7337 DLT. Does anyone know if it can be done?

I am running Aix 4.3.2.

I have tried mt -f /dev/rmt1 offline as well as tctl.
No luck yet.......

This can be if before you used device /dev/rmt1.1.
If so you have to do
mt -f /dev/rmt1.1 offline
