Unlinking document in mail merge

I had set up a word document as mail merge with an excel file. I would like to use the word document again, but without the link attached. Every time I open the document, my excel file opens. Is there a way to unlink it?

Hi,
What version are you using? In Word, XP, I've used this: Change the name of the source doc (Excel). Open Word. Your popup box should read: [docname] is a mail merge document. Word cannot find its data source.

Click on Options. Select Remove data header source.
