I show 5 extensions in the extension field and they are all greyed out so it will not let me delete them. They show "unknown SIP device or SIP softphone". I have 90 Avaya softphones built in the system and Im assuming the user logged in with the wrong extension and that's why it is there. It is also causing my config to have errors because it conflicting with IP addresses and user ID's. Does anyone know how to delete the extensions? When I right click on the user the delete is greyed out and the red X at the top doesn't do anything either.

Thanks,

The new sip spoftphone create an extension which cannot be deleted.
When 1 person is using a softphone then one extension is created by the ipo.
When the user closes the softphone then after 5 or 10 minutes this extension is deleted by the ipo.
You cannot edit or delete these extensions.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Ok thanks, we shouldn't have any SIP phones on the system just Avaya. We don't even have any 3rd party license installed. I think the user was using his old softphone and didn't download the Avaya one.

Thanks, star for you.

When you can't delete it then it is an extension created for the Avaya sip softphone.
When it is a normal sip softphone then there must be an extension configured which can be deleted.
