Unix to Exchange

I have an automated program on a unix box that needs to send a message to an exchange 2000 mailbox. The Unix box is on the same domain and does not have a public ip. Any suggestions?

you will need to find a command line utility that can send smtp email on unix, don't know such a tool by heart, but they exist........
