I have the need to print files residing in a SCO UNIX 5.0.7 to a printer attached to a Vista Business PC.

After much research I found that I need to have something called "Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications" on the Vista PC turn on for the printing to work, the problem is that this item is only available in Vista Ultimate and Enterprise.

I know this will work because I tested with a Vista Ultimate PC and I was able to print.

Is there any software or work around that will allow me to print to the printer of a Vista Business PC from UNIX?

Thanks
Joe

If you enable the LPD service (control panel, windows features), you should be able to print to it, but YMMV.

Thanks smah

enabling LPD service did the trick.
