I am needing to add a "service tag" to each computer in my company. Basically for identification reasons, if a computer ever "disappears". I am wanting to try to do it like Dell and Gateway use their service tag numbers, and store it on the hard drive.

Does anyone know of a place in the registry I can store a unique number like this?

Just get a big 'crayon' as my teacher used to say and scribble it on the inside and basically everywhere on the case, wheter it be invisible ink or whatever.
Stops the pc walking and the police will be able to use a UV light to identify it

The way web design should be
