Uninstalling MSN Messenger Problem Win 98

I have a windows 98 machine and have tried to uninstall messenger as I am getting problems with it. I went to add/remove programs and uninstalled msn messenger and rebooted but its still starts.

If I go to the startup folder it isn't in there. And its no longer in the add/remove programs list.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove it?
