I am new to W2K - coming from W98SE and before that W95. I've always used a product called Remove-IT for logging program installs and clean ups.
Although I was led to believe W2K was better at un-installing, I still thought having a utility that logged before/after snapshots of installing an app was useful.
In addition, Remove-IT has a orphan finder that I found useful. I am not aware of any such tool within the W2K OS.
There's a small utility called "RegShot" that'll snapshot your registry for "before-and-after" comparisons, but although i've tried many uninstallers just for the sake of trying them...I have no recommendations...I've never found I "needed" one. Google's page for "uninstallers" has several listings and you could judge for yourself if no-one here recommends one.
