Hello,
I am a new computer support person for a department and I can't seem to find the original disks for Microsoft Office 97. Whenever I try to upgrade to MSOffice2k, it always asks for the original disk or a path on the network from where it was installed from. Is there a way to uninstall without the original install disk or location? I don't want to just delete the MSOffice97 folder if I can avoid it.
Thanks
gelthie

Here are a couple of suggestions

First, check out this article...

Then check out this Micrsoft article that is referenced in the above article...

Try these techniques on a "test" machine before you do all the computers in your office...make sure it works ok...

If it does NOT work ok, see if you can locate a copy of Office 97 somewhere, perhaps a used computer store, or the travelling used computer shows that seem to come thru every town once or twice a year...

You don;t need the original disk, any office 97 disk will work...

Hope this helps
Steve
I am assuming you are wanting to remove the old Off97 completely and installing Office 2k fresh and NOT as an upgrade...this is the better route...
