I had some problems with updating Win2K, ended up reinstalling. Now I have 2 installations, one works, one doesn't. How do I get rid of the one that doen't work? The machine also seems to run slow, is that the problem.
When you reinstalled you should of deleted the other one. If it's in a separate partition you might be able to use something like partition magic to delete it then merge the free space into the good one?
If they're just in different folders in the same partition (eg, winnt and winnt2), then just delete the 'bad installation' folder. Then edit boot.ini to remove the unwanted menu entry.
If you need more help, can you explain what 'updates' you were trying to apply & what problems you've had. You may have a hardware issue or a(nother) clean install might be best course of action.
