How do I remove MS Office 2000 without the actual program in hand? [mad]
MS Office 2000 is installed on all the computers in the office. It was a pirated copy that an employee brought in. He has since left and took the copy with him. I have installed a legitimate copy of MS Office 2003 Small Business onto a few computers, but I am unable to remove MS Office 2000 without the CD. Does anyone know how to get around this? Thank you for any help.

Hi skimport,

You should be able to uninstall Office 2000 via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, without recourse to the original CD. If for some reason you can't do that, there are commercial programs available to do the same sort of thing.

If all PCs are configured the same, though, it may be easier to simply re-format, reinstall WIndows and any needed apps, then make an image of that PC's disk and re-image the rest from that. Back up any data first, though.

Cheers
