I hope this is an acceptable place for this post. I didn't see anything better. Plz advise if I'm out of order. anyway...
I have winxp/pro, win 98se and win98 and network the 3 as a home network, sharing printers and files only. Each PC has a direct link to the Router for WWW. I recently added a print server requiring Netware which I've decided to get rid. How do I get rid of Client services for Netware so I can do Fast Switching in WINXP/PRO?
I've read several posts on this subject, but none of the answers help me. When I go to network connections, the left pane is blank. When I go to my network places I see 3 links to the 98 computer, but cannot find a properties to click on. One post said to click on view network connections, then right click on the lan icon, then properties ... but I had no lan icon. When I go to workgroup VIEW NETWORK CONNECTIONS returns blank, WIEW WORKGROUP COMPUTERS shows my winxp, and MY NETWORK PLACES returns the 98 machine and properties on each of these shows the name only.
The 98se is a dual boot with winxp/pro, so i'm not concerned that it did not show up in the list as winxp/pro is the active OS.
The server setup disk installed a PS-ADVisor program which i uninstalled, but have made no other changes. any other suggestions? Thanks![[ponder] [ponder] [ponder]](/data/assets/smilies/ponder.gif)
