Hi,
I rather despise 'active desktop', and I want to undo it and just have a normal 'wallpaper'. I unchecked the 'show web content' box in the Display properties, yet the Background tab still is not there. How do I get back to the 'normal' way? Thanks,
--Jim

Try this:
In Windows Explorer, click Tools, Folder Options and check "Use Windows classic desktop"

Dand,
Thanks, that did it,
