This is strange one. Looking for anyone with thoughts are resolutions. There are certain peple I can't send mail to through my works email server (Imail). I can receive messages from them, but I can't reply back and I can't send new messages either. Here's the return message I received after replying to his email that he sent me. I can send him emails through yahoo. Any thoughts?

Is "Unknown user: xxxx@am.sony.com" the entire error message? Usually you would see some numeric code with the undeliverable.
Can you post the entire message, please?

That was the entire message

Well, the only thing I can see then is
"To: "xxxx, xxx" <xxxx@xxxx.com>
Subject: Re: Test Message"

the To line does not show the dotted notation the same as the error message. But if you're sure that's the correct address, perhaps you're being blocked by an access file on their end.

Is the mailer-daemon message from your server or his?

This can happen when you are trying to reply to an email that was not sent to you - one that was dragged or copied or moved into your mail folder instead of correctly received as a message. In this case, the unknown user is your own email address which doesn't match the address for the reply function. If this is the case, you might try to forward instead of reply or cut and paste into a new message.
