Uncommited Transactions

Using SQL2000
I was running an update with a Tran Rollback in Query Analyzer. Someone cancelled the run and now when I try to close QA, I get the following:

There are uncommited transactions
Do you wish to commit these transaction before closing the window?

Options are Yes No Cancel

What's this mean, and what happens if I select Yes?
Luckily this on our test system!

One or more transactions is hanging (BEGIN TRAN without corresponding COMMIT/ROLLBACK).

Yes - all pending transactions will be committed.
